The Philippines by Aileen Zenarosa

The Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands. It's located in Southeast Asia. It's divided into 3 major islands; Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It is rich in natural resurs and has two seasons; wet and dry.

The Philippines is surrounded by large bodies of water which are the Pacific Ocean in the east, Bashi Chanel in the North, South China Sea in the West and Celebes Sea in the South.mThese bodies of water are the reason for the typhoons and strong rains that we are experiencing right now. Since we belong to the Pacific Ring of Fire, there are a lot of volcanoes; both active and inactive.

The Philippine geography affects its people and their way of living. It largely affects its economy as well. Since we are a tropical country, we use the climate to our own benefits. For example, we plant crops and grow them for food and/or industry.

Bacoor, Cavite

Cavite

A province in the Philippines located on the Southern shores of Manila Bay in the CALABARZON region in Luzon, just 30 kilometers south of Manila.

Bacoor, Cavite

First class urban component city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. It is a lone congressional district of Cavite. Asyb-urban area, the city is located approximately 15 kilometers southwest of Manila.
The city Bacoor also named Bakood or Bakoor (named after "Fence made of bamboo, Fence in Filipino is "Bakod") was founded in 1671.

Economy
Bacoor has developed into a site of commerce. Trade, banking and service sectors are Bacoor's primary income earners. Commercial activities are sporadic throughout the city ranging from wholesale to retail establishments, restaurants and eateries, hardware and construction supplies and other service-related industries, especially those located in SM City Bacoor, where it serves as the city's main income earner. The mostly residential area of Molino is also home to SM Center Molino at the corner of Molino Road and Daang Hari. The entrance area from the Coastal Road to Aguinaldo Highway in Talaba and the area surrounding the Zapote Public Market (now the Bacoor Public Market) are other commercial centers. Bacoor has branches of 11 different commercial banks all over the city.
Religion
Ronan Catholicism is the dominant religion in Bacoor, mainly due to influx of immigrants from other places. Most notably from Metro Manila. The original inhabitants of Bacoor are mostly members of the Philippine Independent Church.
There is also a significant population of Muslims (mostly middle-class Maranao traders and stall owners) around Zapote and Molino, where a local Mosque is located. A number of Christian denominations such as Born Again Christians - United Methodist Church and Jesus Is Lord Church also exists.
